I bought these as a gift for my wife, who has Raynaud’s disease and can never seem to keep her fingers warm. These gloves would have been perfect; if they worked at all. The first problem is that of design; the glove ONLY heats the palm and the back of the hand; there is no heating apparatus around the fingers and thumb, which is where most people are going to need need heating. The second is a problem of execution; even around the palm where the heating apparatus works best, it doesn’t ever actually get hot; sometimes I have trouble telling if they are actually working. Save your money; and if you find some battery operating, self-heating gloves that actually work, please let me know.

Better than nothing but not what I was hoping for. You get a spot of heat on the back of your hand and on your palm. If you are planning on using these for motorcycle riding, plan on still getting pretty cold fingers.

Heated? Gloves — They Don’t even get slightly warm., December 26, 2010

Heated gloves? You’ve got to be kidding. I put fresh batteries in them, turned them on high, waited 10 minutes and got **zero** warmth— not even a hint of warmth.

I like the gloves — especially the features that allow you to tighten them at the wrists and to tighten them below the knuckles. But I paid for gloves that warm and THESE DON’T. I turned on the “heating” element of one glove and left the other one off, and after ten minutes, I think the one with the switch off was warmer. Bottom line — I was taken — I hope you benefit from my naive assumption that these would actually provide battery operated warming.
